FireTrade Shift Swap ("the app") is an independent, member-run tool that helps firefighters coordinate shift trades. It is not affiliated with, an official product of, or endorsed by any fire department or agency. This policy explains what information the app stores, how it is used, and who can see it.
The app is intended for adult firefighters (18+) coordinating their own work schedules. It is not directed at children.
When you create a profile, the app stores the information you provide:
When you post a trade, volunteer for one, or settle a payback, the app stores that activity (dates, units, payback terms, and which members are involved).
To deliver push notifications, the app stores a device "push token." The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any advertising identifiers.
Your information is used only to run the shift-trade board: showing open trades, connecting members who agree to a trade, tracking payback obligations, and sending you relevant notifications. We do not sell your data, and the app contains no advertising.
The board shows trades by a short display name (first initial and last name, e.g. "J. Sorensen"). Your contact information (phone and email) is never publicly browsable. It is shared only with members you are actively trading with:
An administrator (a fellow member who manages access) can see member profiles in order to approve new signups and keep the directory current.
Data is stored securely on Supabase, a hosted database and authentication provider, and is protected by row-level security rules that enforce the access limits described above. Login is passwordless: you receive a one-time code by email. Login-code emails are delivered through Resend.
Your information is kept while your account is active. You can request that your profile and associated data be deleted at any time by emailing the address below; we will remove it promptly.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
